Flip told me about the wonderful home going of Marilyn Carroll's dad. Flip said Mr. Zotti had developed a tight bond with Operation Save America after David Benham was drafted in the 11th round by Mr. Zotti's beloved Boston Redsox.
Initially, when Marilyn called Flip about the funeral, he had told her that, as much as he wanted to be there, there was no way he could come. As God would have it though, that really strange, but loveable fella, Dave Lackey, showed up to stand with the saints in Wichita. When he heard about Marilyn's dad, he gave Flip his frequent flyer miles to make the trip to Connecticut. Dave, you're the best, thanks!!
Christian crusader, Stephen Bennett, did the music at the funeral. Flip felt honored to be able to share the hope of the resurrection with Mr. Zotti's many friends and family at the wake. He read from both Old and New Testaments at the funeral at St. Agnes. At the graveside service he read Hebrews 12:1-2, "Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
