Judgment and Mercy continue to be a magnet for children who love them. While our team was parked for the night in Beaver, UT, Rusty spent time talking with Tina, a fourth grader and her brother Jacob, a second grader, and showing them the animals. Before they parted for the day, he had led these children from a Mormon family to the Lord. Flip said Jacob showed up bright and early the next morning wanting to go with them, but his mom, a very sweet lady, nixed that idea.
A state trooper stopped them yesterday as they walked beside Hwy. 15. He told them they had to leave. Yes, it is a public highway, but as Flip said, the minimum speed is 45 and he knew they weren't walking 45 mph. They described their mission to the trooper, telling him they were walking across America to call the Church of Jesus Christ and our nation to repentance for the shedding of innocent blood. Before driving away, the trooper told them again they had to leave.
Flip said, "After he left us, we prayed 'Please God help us! We've committed to making this walk in Your name.' "They continued walking. They could see ahead for quite a distance and saw the trooper again. He was stopped. They thought, "Oh, no!" They were so afraid of what he would say to them as they approached, but he had a car pulled over and was deeply involved in what appeared to be a drug bust! "The Lord has been so faithful!" Flip said. He said he immediately thought of Revelation 11:3 which says, "And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, andthey will prophesy for 1,260 days clothed in sackcloth." (We hope that it doesn't take them that long to reach Washington , DC !)
They are now traveling east on Hwy 70 but the cold rains are threatening to shut them down for the day. |
