The year 2003 was one of the bloodiest in the history of Columbus. More than 100 murders were committed last year. Once considered a "cow-town," Columbus now ranks with the leading cities in America in violent deaths.

For nine months last year the Columbus area was paralyzed in fear by the "I-270 Sniper." Charles McCoy, terrorized the city by shooting over 2 dozen vehicles around the outerbelt surrounding Columbus. Striking without warning, and seemingly without fear, McCoy's rampage resulted in the death of one, and the fear of death by tens-of-thousands.

Just this week, the Department of Homeland Defense indicted a radical Islamic terrorists who was planning to detonate a bomb in Polaris Mall, the largest and most exclusive shopping area in the city. It is estimated that over 80,000 shoppers visit the mall daily during the height of the shopping season.
Could there be any correlation between the increase in violence and the fact that Columbus has 6 abortion mills, and is considered one of the most "gay friendly" cities in the country. Last year's Gay pride parade drew over 45,000 marchers to Columbus and it is estimated that the gay population in Columbus is second only to the population in San Francisco .
