Granite City’s ‘Believe It or Not Injustice’ Confronted

 
For the second Saturday in a row these saints in Granite City, Illinois have been persecuted and physically assaulted as they preach the Gospel of Life in front of the Hope(less) killing center. The police officers sworn to protect the lives of all have instead joined the criminal class. Is there another city in America where the victim of a violent assault must also be arrested and jailed in order to press charges against their attacker?

Welcome to Granite City where if the victim is a Christian living out their faith, they too must go to jail! For now that is. Fortunately this latest injustice to flow out from the bloodshed in the womb was caught on video tape. These gentle warriors for Christ are growing in number as the persecution increases. King Jesus continues to honor their sacrifice by saving babies’ lives and touching hearts!

These saints know there are other courts in this land to pursue litigation but most importantly, they know the Lord is their Defender and in His Court there is no impartiality or injustice. There is only a reward for those clothed with the righteousness of Christ and just recompense for the wicked that practice lawlessness - the fruit of their rejection of the Lord Jesus. May God stir our hearts to prayer for these saints as they press on and provoke us to similar love and good works!

THE STREETS, GRANITE CITY, ILLINOIS - 8/2/03

Saturday - "You must make injustice… visible." (Mahatma Ghandi) was the theme of the day. Over seventy-five pro-lifers cared enough to stand for the babies, and church representation came from St. Mary’s, St. Peter and Paul, St. Elizabeth’s, New Birth, and many others.

Proclaimers were met with the usual stench of rotting babies in this quagmire, Granite City. Once again a Class A felony in the state of Illinois was being played out at Hope (less), as the underage girl from Indiana, who was impregnated by an older, adult male was being pushed into this abortuary by the perpetrator's mother, to conceal and get rid of any evidence of this twenty-four week old baby.

Deacon John, the sidekick of infamous Nathaniel Lang, another "loose canon" in rent-a-cops, was too busy enjoying the persecution of Pastor Steve of New Birth Church, as they walked in death-alley to intervene and protect this little girl who was being forced into this abortion mill. Deacon "possessed" Ronnie Jones the deathcamp guard snapped and began attacking Pastor Steve with a canister of mace... three times, as Pastor gave him the Gospel. (This accomplice to child murder is actually a deacon at his church in East St. Louis, IL.) All of this was captured on video. PTL! The Word of God will prick hearts. "Woe to those that would harm a little child"…

Ps. 41:1-13 "Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the Lord delivers him in times of trouble. The Lord will protect him and preserve his life; He will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes. The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness. I said 'O Lord, have mercy on me; heal me, for I have sinned against You." My enemies say of me in malice, When will he die and his name perish?'

Whenever one comes to see me, he speaks falsely, while his heart gathers slander; then he goes out and spreads it abroad. All my enemies whisper together against me; they imagine the worst for me, saying, 'A vile disease has beset him; he will never get up from the place where he lies.' Even my close friend, whom I trusted, he who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me. But You, O Lord, have mercy on me; raise me up, that I may repay them. The Jeremiahs of our day, were crying out for "justice’… there was no one to intervene. Granite City’s Gestapo just sat by and did NOTHING! Proverbs 28:5 "Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the Lord understand it fully." Saints cried-out about the "blood-guilt" upon this deathcamp guard’s hands and the complacent Granite City police department. They behaved like cowards. We are Christians on the front lines trying to expose evil and the destruction of lives, be it the mothers or be it the victims. We are living in perilous times; the Christians are painted as though we are the villains. They slander us, defame us, and the brethren hate us. The world has feminized Christ and the church is silent and full of "catfish Christians" - all mouth and a thimble-full of guts. Persecution is a good thing. But lately, it seems as though the American Church is reading from the Burger King Bible, ‘I want to have it my way.’ Sin isn’t called sin anymore we have "habits." We can have "opinions’, but don’t dare act out on them.

It is easier to preach ten sermons than it is to live out one. To be quiet is to be considered pious. The one most responsible for the abortion holocaust that is savaging our nation today, is the one who is sure that she is doing everything in her power to stop the slaughter- the Church of Jesus Christ! This is why the truth is so powerful. Our message will not be silent! You must make injustice visible. Be it unborn babies or Gentle Christian warriors exposing the wicked and standing up for the weak.

Pastor Steve was ‘baptized’ as one of us “dirty pro-lifers” as we took up collection for bail he was informed that the only way they would charge and arrest the guard with battery was if Pastor Steve was arrested for assault, even though the video proved his innocence. The police responded with "we don’t care, let the judge decide."

We sought counsel, we prayed, and Pastor Steve took up his cross, shocking the Granite City Gestapo officers. He was arrested, booked, and had mug shots taken. The remnant moved the picket line in front of the police department to show the injustice. No justice no peace. No justice no peace. After some time passed, Pastor Steve was released and given a court date. We sang God’s praises in front of these gates, and made our way back to the Hope(less) gates of hell, witnessing to the casualties of this abortion holocaust war, as they spilled out onto the parking lot , minus one person and offering them the true hope of Jesus Christ and resource numbers for post-abortive help.

A reporter from a local TV station arrived for a photo op we entrusted him to expose the child predator abuse that this abortion mill is covering up. But we saw later on the evening news, the top story.. "Protestor attacked outside local abortion facility, Hope Clinic for Women".. We also learned the three worldly lies are black, white and sometimes video. They put on TV what the world wanted to see, calling good evil and evil good, misrepresenting what happened at the mill today… causing the remnant crying out for truth to look like the bad guys... and there was no mention of the child predator sexual abuse.

Wednesday August 6, the local fishwrapper, the Granite City Journal, put the front page headline, "Hope Clinic protest leads to arrests" with a sub-heading of "Charges filed against pastor, security guard". In the article the police lied and said Deacon Ronnie alleges Pastor Steve stomped on his foot. The video clearly shows there was at least 6 feet in between them. This was an unprovoked attack..

"When you can’t attack the message, you attack the messenger." But what the devil meant for harm God will turn around and use for good. We learned from the remaining sidewalk counselors, that a total of four mothers who came to kill their children, left this abortuary with their babies still ... ALIVE! Also, a young girl from a local Catholic high school came up to the news reporter after most of the saints had left and she told him about a lady standing out at this abortion clinic eight months ago, who talked her out of the abortion. She also showed him pictures of her baby, he asked if she would go on video and she declined, but wanted to tell him that "these people are doing good out here and I commend them." Later, he accused the saints of setting the woman up to talk to him.

The battle belongs to the Lord, but the victory is in showing up.
