Jesus is the Standard

Rarely does an issue arise that is so far reaching in its consequences and so deep in its foundations, that it commands every Christian to take a stand. Abortion is such an issue. 

America is at a cross roads. The days of fence-sitting are over. We must decide whether we believe man or God is the center of the universe. Upon that answer lies the fate of our nation.

"Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve ... but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." Josh 24:15

"When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him." Isa. 59:19 

Today, some politicians are compromising their pro-life position in the hope it will gain them a political advantage. 

 What's even more incredible, is that many actually believe they can betray the Christian community, the pro-life movement, the unborn and God Himself - and still get the support of Christian voters. 

 We can not allow that to happen. We do not have God's permission to play political games with the lives of His children. 

 Never again should we stand idly by while cowardly politicians bend and manipulate the Scriptures to fit their political ambitions. 

 Now is the time to stand and fight! The Word of God does not banish anyone from the circle of life - and neither should we. 

 No more wheelin' and dealin'. No more selling out to politicians who negotiate with America's death merchants. No more joining them to choose which children should die and which ones we will allow to live. 

 In short, no more aid and comfort for those who are willing to trade the lives of the unborn for political power. 

 If we are worthy of calling ourselves Christians and pro-life, we should be strong enough to say that politicians who won't take a stand for life are not morally qualified for public office. A candidate whose position on the murder of unborn children is wrong, cannot be "right enough" on other issues to deserve our support.

We are challenging every Christian in America to withhold their vote in any contest that does not have a candidate who supports the consistent pro-life position. It is time we vote as if we believe that Jesus is the standard. Until principled pro-life statesman are on the ballot, we should have the strength and resolve to abstain.
