List of Practical Items We Need Donated

Housing - We will have those who wish to come to the event this summer who cannot afford airfare and hotel accommodations. Some have large families. We need people willing to open their homes for these precious saints for the week. Those who stay in housing are required to have their own transportation and will supply their own meals.

Bottled Water - As you know, it is very hot in Texas in July. We will need water donated to keep the saints refreshed. We would like to be able to give everyone a plastic bottle of water and then have coolers to refill the water bottle daily. We are expecting 200 - 300 people from out of town. We do not know what to expect the turnout to be from Dallas at this time.

Busses - Most people will be flying into Dallas. We will need to be able to transport our people to the various mills and places of witness that we are planning.

Bus Drivers - Of course to have busses we need drivers who are licensed to drive them.

Lunches - We need sack lunches donated for the saints during the week. The location of our lunch may be different each day. If your church would like to hold lunch in your gym for us, that would be appreciated. You could also bring our sack lunches to us on site.

Praise and Worship Teams - We need an awesome praise and worship team for our evening rallies along with smaller teams that could lead in the streets. One thing we would like to see happen is to hold a 24 hour praise and prayer vigil at one of the mills. We would need several teams that could sign up for an hour and a half to two hours at a time.

Portable Sound Systems - We will be holding a parade downtown on Monday, July 15, 2002. We will need several speaker systems that hook up to the car stereos to pipe the music through.

Worship Flags - We also need flags and streamers for the parade. Red, white, and blue helium balloons are also a good touch. American flags and Christian flags are another option.

Strollers - Every child under three will need to be in a stroller for the parade. That is a city ordinance. If you would like to donate the use of your strollers, please tag them with the church that they need to be returned to along with a phone number.

Flowers - We will be holding a memorial service on Thursday, July 18, 2002. We will need flowers donated for that service. It would be nice to have roses for the podium and carnations for the people in the procession to lie at the altar.

First Aid Kits - We would like to keep first aid supplies on the Sono Care Unit for our people. Things such as sun block, band-aids, sterile wipes, etc.

Finances - As you can see, this is a large undertaking. There are many financial needs. We would like to take out a large ad in the paper to promote this event. There are radio stations that will help in the promotion if we have an advertising budget. There will be several pieces of literature that will need to be printed, etc.

Workers - There is plenty of opportunity for those who want to get involved. Not everyone is comfortable coming out in the streets, but we need workers to work in our office, in the nursery, making phone calls, etc.

Speaking Engagements - Our goal is to have Flip speaking at a church every weekend to envision the church in Dallas. Please consider scheduling Flip to speak at your church. You may schedule him through Kristene at 972-494-5316.

Meetings - If you have caught the vision to bring abortion to an end in Dallas, can you set up meetings with other pastors that might want to be involved? We could hold small informal breakfasts with them or we could simply go to their church to meet.

There is much to do and many needs. Although there is a church on every corner in Dallas, we are not always networked together. This could be a way of building that network. As we stand for King Jesus with all of our might and enter the battle, the unity we seek in the body of Christ is granted to us as a gift from above. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to call us. God bless you.
