2,500 Flyers handed out at Wichita Wal-Mart

2,500 Flyers handed out at Wichita Wal-Mart

Pastor Mark Holick, joined by 19 other Saints, handed out approximately 2,500 flyers at the Wal-Mart at Pawnee and Broadway in Wichita, KS on Friday, November 24, 2006.

They handed out two flyers to everyone.  One told of Wal-Mart's involvement with sodomy and abortion, on one side. The other side gave statistics on sodomy and how destructive it is.

The second flyer was a salvation tract, "Are You Good Enough to Go to Heaven?"

Police threatened Mark, who is pastor of Spirit One Christian Center, with arrest and citation if he didn't leave or "stand to the side."  But he stayed and, as he put it, “continued with the work of the Lord.”

When he didn't leave, officers called for their supervisor who then called for his supervisor. Meanwhile, police took photographs and video taped.

Pastor Mark kept asking them to make a decision. They then called the city attorney, but “never did anything except bark real loud,” he said.  By then it was 4:00 p.m. and he was ready to leave.  “Actually I wouldn't have stayed that long,” he said, “if they hadn't been trying to silence the Gospel.”

Plans are to continue the boycott through December.
