Brother Dave Lackey and four other Christian proclaimers visited the Wal-Mart in Trussville, AL, a suburb of Birmingham, on Black Friday, November 24, 2006, to lift up the name of Jesus and inform shoppers of the unholy alliance Wal-Mart has formed with The National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).

Most of the people the group spoke to were shocked to learn the truth about Wal-Mart and reacted favorably to receiving the information.

An employee stopped by who was not aware of the Wal-Mart partnership with NGLCC. Dave gave him the www.savewalmart web address to learn more.

This Wal-Mart store has the highest sales volume in the Birmingham area, so a lot of people saw the signs the Christians held, which read:

“Wal-Mart provides abortions”
“Wal-Mart promotes sodomy”
“Lower prices, lower morals.”

There is a single entrance to 80 stores with eight lanes- four entering and four exiting. For two hours Dave and crew had full access to all four entrance lanes and handed out flyers unimpeded. They passed out 400 flyers altogether.

Police merely looked on.

Then an extremely angry Wal-Mart manager came out and spoke to the police.

At that point, police toughened up and told the group they would be arrested if they stepped off the curb. They were only able to hand out literature to one lane of traffic, but a number of mall customers who had seen the signs and were curious, parked and came back to talk to the saints.
