Letter to Ministers

Letter to Ministers

7 December 2006

Dear Pastor,

I am writing because we have a friend in trouble and our timely response is critical.

Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart, was a godly Christian man who truly loved his Lord. He was a man of impeccable character and integrity before he went to be with Jesus in 1992. He built Wal-Mart on a foundation of biblical principles and traditional family values. He never failed to give King Jesus the glory.

Today, many Christian families shop at Wal-Mart because of its family-friendly reputation and its biblical foundation. Unfortunately, after being lambasted for years by the anti-family, pro-abortion, pro-homosexual left, our friend Wal-Mart has succumbed to the constant harassment and blackmail.

This once family-friendly store is being extorted by the demands of those who hate God, marriage, family, children, and America . Wal-Mart has now chosen a policy of appeasement with the radical left hoping that, if she'll compromise, the devil and his minions will somehow leave her alone. It will never work.

  • In recent months, Wal-Mart has: Given $25,000.00 to join the “National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce" (NGLCC).
  • Chosen to prefer companies with lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered owners.
  • Allowed a company vice-president to serve as an advisor to the NGLCC.
  • Sponsored and paid for some of the programs of the NGLCC.
  • Given homosexual advocates $60,000.00 to sponsor “Out & Equal Workplace Summit” that included training on how to defeat state laws defining marriage between a man and a woman.
  • Chosen to dispense the "Plan B" abortion pill which kills children in the privacy of American homes.
  • Offered over 1,000 pro-homosexual products including graphic sodomy manuals targeting teens.

Sam Walton's faith and love for God is being trashed by his own corporation. Wal-Mart is in trouble, and she desperately needs our help. We love this company. There is something we can and must do.

Mr. Sam is dead, but we are alive, and it is our turn now! Christian churches and families have been taking the Gospel of Christ to their local Wal-Mart stores across America . They have become “living parables” of what is happening to Wal-Mart and encouraging management, employees, and shoppers to remember the God who made Wal-Mart great.

Armed with flyers, signs, and a love for Christ, these gentle saints are sharing the Gospel with hundreds of thousands of people during this holiday season. You can do it too. It doesn't take much - just a few people and a willingness to stand for Jesus and the memory of Sam Walton. Please plan an evangelistic outreach at your local Wal-Mart today.
