Response to Anti-abortion protesters' tactics questioned

Jackson Clarion Ledger
Dear Editor:

I believe you are so journalistically prejudiced that you lack the ability to even remotely see the side of pro-lifers who have devoted their lives to saving babies--let alone accurately and impartially report on their activities. However, you have asked Jackson area residents to comment on what they would tell the Operation Save America (OSA) protestors.

As someone who was present at most of the OSA activities, although not affiliated with OSA, I would like to comment.  Please print my letter verbatim in its entirety or not at all.

Personally, I hate the graphic pictures of aborted babies and wish that it were not necessary to use them.  The bloody, mutilated body of JESUS that hung on Calvary 2000 years ago was probably very shocking then also. Further, after WWII, horrendous pictures of victims in Nazi death camps were what convinced the world of atrocities committed in THOSE evil places.

We can only hope that the graphic pictures will convince all MS citizens not to tolerate the mutilation of uterine babies because they are considered to be property of their mothers.

I am sorry for any MS children who might have been traumatized by those pictures but they will at least LIVE to get over their trauma.  Any babies mutilated at the last MS abortion clinic last week will not be so fortunate.   IF ABORTION IS TOO HORRIBLE TO LOOK AT, IT IS TOO HORRIBLE TO BE DONE!!

Now, to the allegation in your Sunday article that an anti-abortion activist carried "an aborted fetus" in a plastic bag.  I do not consider this to be an accurate description of the treatment of the body of an 18-week old aborted uterine baby lovingly and sorrowfully carried in a manner similar to medical transplant organs. The purpose for this was to have a memorial service in memory of hundreds of thousands of aborted babies that have been killed in MS and to allow them to be mourned with dignity. Because "Baby Deborah" is only 5 weeks older than the age babies are still aborted in MS (13 weeks), she was a visual symbol of the evil of abortion and our toleration of this slaughter.  It was appropriate that we grieve over her and those like her.

As to the furor over the burning of the "Koran," someone needs to tell the truth about the source of Muslim terrorist ideology.  This alleged "holy" book and false religion advocates the killing of Christians and Jews and all who do not swear allegiance to Islam.

Islam only means "peace" and "submission" when you SUBMIT TO ISLAM.  It is time that someone told the truth about the false god Allah much as the Apostle Paul told the truth about the false god Diana at Ephesus in Acts 19.  As I recall, this exposure caused an uproar there too.

Perhaps there would not be young people like the one from California who is now a translator for the Muslim terrorists if we in the American Church showed a great deal of passion for our God.

The Bible says to have nothing to do with the works of darkness but rather to expose them. ISLAM IS DARKNESS--especially for women!!

I have been a “sidewalk counselor" at various times at all Jackson MS abortion clinics since 1988 and was arrested the first time that year for reading the Bible at the Terry Rd clinic with a permit to do so in my hand. I no longer get City permits.  The Bible and the Constitution are my "permits." I was arrested July 17, 2006 for holding a sign on a public sidewalk after advising the police that I was local and was not covered by the OSA permit--merely the Constitution.

Later that week I was threatened with arrest for handing out literature and carrying a small cross on the same sidewalk.  If the subject was anything but abortion, your newspaper would probably have reported this and defended my right to protest on the public thoroughfares of Jackson . As it is, you probably won't even print my letter but we can always hope for media integrity.

To OSA outsiders, I say:  THANK YOU FOR STANDING AGAINST INJUSTICE, SHOWING THE REAL HORROR OF ABORTION, EXPOSING THE LIES OF ISLAM, READING THE WORD OF GOD AND PROCLAIMING JESUS LORD OVER JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI!!
