E-mail Response to Strongest Dad in the World

E-mail Response to Strongest Dad in the World
Michael Wolven

This is really strange - I feel like I'm in the twilight zone.

I sent Strongest Dad in the World to many, many people in my office - quite frankly I was brought to tears just wishing that I would be able to do the same for my son.  I can see God doing this for us.  The poem we have on our wall - Christ walking with man - why when I was at my weakest do I only see one set of footprints.  Response - that was when I carried you.

I told them this image portrays one that I desire to liken each and every day.  Christ-like - Christian.  This is why I wake up so early, this is why I stay out so late, this is why I am willing to sacrifice for my family daily and why I do what I do.  This is why I am so pro-life.  This shows why life, all life, is so valuable.

The strange part - many people found the video "interesting" but that was about all.  Here I am brought to tears and they find it .........."interesting".

Then it dawned on me.

I see the value in all life.

I see the exemplary humanity and love in father and son.  I see how beautiful the sacrifice is.  Sacrifice equals love.

They see a crippled 40 year old man being carried by an older man.  They see that life would have been so much better if the father wasn't burdened by his son and that his son would probably have been better off ...... dead.

Welcome to the age of euthanasia.

Never did I even stop to think that I would have received some of the responses from some of the people I did - almost all Christians.

I'm floored

This was, like Flip said, one of the best modern day examples of a fathers love for his son and a sons love for his father I have ever seen.

Flip - please thank your son for me as well.
