"…And they strengthened the hands of the evildoers so that no one has turned back from his wickedness." (Jeremiah 23:14)

July 18th 04 First Community Church

We met for prayer and marching orders at 7:30 am, and then divided into three groups to visit area churches. Our group went to two campuses of First Community Church, a "welcoming and affirming church." Pastorette Barbara Cunningham preached the same false gospel message at both. She told the congregation that God is in everyone, we are to love and affirm all. Her text was Colossians 1:24-29. She expounded on the message by using a Hindu parable and quoting one of the founders of the New Age movement.

There were many opportunities for witnessing at the second campus. The majority of members were elderly. A few agreed with our message that homosexuality is contrary to God’s Word, however, the "Stop the hate" mantra was heard from many.

The church bulletin board at this campus was adorned with pictures of recent baby baptisms including twin boys adopted by their two lesbian "mothers." The New Members board also featured a lesbian couple.

July 18th 04 Abortionist Mervyn Samuels visitors

In the afternoon we made a house call to the home of abortionist Mervyn Samuel, decorating his neighborhood with signs of his stock-in-trade. Flyers were passed out to his neighbors exposing the nature of his grizzly business.

We’re holding open air rallies each night at City Hall. As Charles H. Spurgeon said, "The great benefit of open-air preaching is that so many newcomers hear the gospel who otherwise would never have heard it." Tonight proabort and homosexual protesters heard Flip, Rusty, Bill Shanks, and local pastors preached on holiness, God’s Word, God’s law, God’s wrath and the judgment to come. These great men of God spoke words that seared our hearts and filled our eyes with tears as they led us in prayers seeking God’s forgiveness for our failure to protect His little children and to stand against the sin that has invaded our land.
