May 27, 2004 Operation Rescue Operation Rescue is returning to Wichita on Friday, May 28, 2004. The Walk Across America by Operation Rescue began in San Clemente California and has passed through five states on its way to Washington D.C. Wichita is the half-way point of the walk that calls America to humble herself and turn from her wicked ways so God will heal our land. Judgment and Mercy, a graphic and prophetic picture of God’s call to America, will enter Wichita Friday, May 28, 2004. A broken set of the Ten Commandments, a baby killed by abortion, a white horse (Judgment) and donkey (Mercy), will carry God’s message to Wichita and America on our Memorial Weekend. Operation Rescue came to Wichita in 1991, again in 2001, and now returns to call Wichita and our nation to repentance. When, in 2001, the City of Wichita tried to censure the gospel of Jesus Christ by denying parade permits, the federal Court found Christian rights had been violated. Once again the City is seeking to deny basic rights of assembly to peaceful Christians. In so doing, Wichita is saying, “We support George Tiller in his killing of innocent baby boys and girls. We cannot (or will not) protect our children.” It takes a village to kill a child and a city to protect the killer.
