  Christmas Pursues the ACLU

By Brother Bill Shanks

Pastors Greg Pembo, Grant Storms, Greg Hand, and Bill Shanks, along with other saints, presented a living nativity scene outside of the local ACLU office in New Orleans . We sang carols, worshiped God, prayed, and read the Christmas story from the bible all on public property. Six of us ministers then went into the ACLU's office building to deliver a Christmas present of a small nativity scene and a Christmas card signed by us all.

We caught the elevator to the 9th floor. The elevator stopped on the 9th floor, but the doors would not open. We were stuck in the elevator. We called 911 from a cell phone. Soon the police and fire department came to get us out of the elevator. After they got the doors open, we went down to the ACLU office to deliver the present. They would not open their office door even though we knocked. We left the present and the card hanging on the door knob. When we got back outside all the saints figured the ACLU had called the police thinking that the present was a bomb or something.

The ACLU has targeted nativity scenes on public property all over the nation for removal. We felt that the Lord wanted us to bring one to them. Joe Cook is the head of the ACLU in Louisiana . The signs read "Joe, Joe, why do you persecute me?" signed - Jesus. Tomorrow we will do the same thing at the Causeway abortion mill.

Bro. Bill
