We are going to Washington D.C.!
OSA Release 5/7/2009
The ‘‘Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009,’’ also known as H.R. 1913, is a bill sponsored by John Conyers of Michigan. This bill, which is co-sponsored by 120 other representatives, allows for provision from the Federal Government, at the request of an individual city, state, or tribal law enforcement to provide grants, technical, forensic, prosecutorial, or any other form of assistance in the criminal investigation or prosecution of any crime that constitutes a crime of violence.
Not only does this bill give federal protection to those living in the sinful lifestyle of homosexuality, but it also allows for a very broad definition of “sexual orientation.” If this bill becomes law, it would mean that even pedophiles could be protected and those who speak out against such lifestyles could be prosecuted and punished for hate crimes!
We must go to D.C and stand for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, talk to our Senators and encourage them not to pass this bill! We must publicly proclaim on the streets that God’s Word is the final authority and that lifestyles such as homosexuality are sinful and detrimental to any nation that condones such practices!
WHEN: May 17 and 18, 2009 (Fly in Sunday night, leave Monday night)
